Trainee project: Pneumatic nutcracker

06.12.2018

A project by our trainees who, with a lot of effort, passion and free time, created this great piece of the finest mechanical engineering on their own. The hammer is raised with a pneumatic cylinder. The system works with a pressure of 6bar. The system is activated via a two-hand system and corresponding electrical circuit that is installed on the underside of the plate. The plate with the engraved logo, the blow pan and the holder are made of aluminum. The hammer itself was turned from stainless steel. All in all, there are about 100 hours of development and production involved. The nutcracker reliably cracks every hard nut. Here is the video: youtu.be/kz9nOPqG964
