KOMAGE Polymer

  Polymer- useful helpers everywhere
Regardless if seal technology, household goods, plain bearing technology or automobiles -many industrial applications cannot do without polymer anymore. The synthetic materials offer many advantages. They are abrasion resistant and elastic, damping and insulating.

No wonder that polymer is an often used material with great potential. For KOMAGE is the segment of polymeric materials a main stream market for a long time. We are specialised in manufacturing presses which ensure a compacting systems for PTFE materials production with complex shapes at high stroke rates and avoidance of material loss.

KOMAGE-Presses: One process – many advantages
Our machines press polymeric materials in one process. This avoids labour consuming tasks for re-tooling and retro-fitting. They make a production process with complex form geometry and large scale manufacture possible.

Intelligent technology, like automatic filling and sensors for the fill level, and pressure monitoring accommodate the special requirements of the material and ensure high quality. Additionally, the most large volume of the Polymer can be handled by our machines. A fill height up to 600 mm is no exception. Our presses stand for material-adjusted, cost-efficient production, high process certainty and productivity.

Customer of the automotive supply industry: Rationalisation in a Quantum leap
Our customer, manufacturer of polymeric compacts for automobiles, dared a new beginning. A new rational alternative to the current praxis of mechanical processing by chipping had to be developed. This was a task with high requirements: Requested was a manufacturing process with high precision and very low tolerances for this complex product form. Furthermore, the scale of the compacts to be manufactured was at a few million per year.

The press concept designed by KOMAGE fulfilled all these requirements. The advantages of mechanic- and hydraulic press were combined in the selected machine type KFMA, resulting in enormous productivity and flexibility. Advantageous for the planning was also KOMAGE’s leadership as developer of the mechanical-hydraulic press, the so-called hybrid press. Equipped with special technical characteristics such as multi-plate adapters, this machine makes a flexible production of high precision and piece count. The hybrid machine type opened an enormous efficiency potential for the customer.

An exceptional reference for KOMAGE – an improvement in a quantum leap for the customer.
